Green Ideas Technology’s full-color cholesteric liquid crystal display (ChLCD) digital signage has been officially installed at Kaohsiung Xiaogang International Airport, specifically at the indoor "Family-Friendly Counter" (which serves passengers requiring wheelchairs or strollers). ChLCD technology features bistability, allowing the display to maintain a static image without a power supply. Power is consumed only when updating content—such as family-oriented guided tours or airport public information announcements. We have optimized every aspect of the system—from material selection and driver ICs to circuit design and power management—to minimize overall power consumption, aligning with the low-carbon operational requirements of a green terminal.

 

2.Eye-friendly: Reflective display offers a reading experience as comfortable as paper.

Unlike traditional LED or LCD screens that rely on backlighting, ChLCD technology utilizes a reflective principle to create images using ambient light. It does not emit its own light and is glare-free, providing a comfortable viewing experience akin to reading paper—ideal for children and parents waiting at the counter. Additionally, the display generates virtually no heat during operation, further enhancing safety and comfort in the family-friendly area.
